The video game Starcraft II, Heart of the Swarm Commercial Trailer I had the chance to Art Direct and Color Grade. My contribution varied from providing the team production illustrations, conceptual designs and even final Matte Paintings.
The exciting expansion for Star craft. Matte department was mainly responsible for the wide vistas of the city. We were integrating map control to layout several districts.
Below are shots where i had involvement with doing BG city and projections. I developed a plugin script for max that allowed us to us City engine Data to distribute buildings.
Below you can view the vast city i painted for one of the shots. The cloyd fly through material i comped partially in Nuke.
